Da-Lite goes social
June 4th, 2010Da-Lite is joining the ranks of manufacturers that have entered the social media revolution. It's 2010, and things have changed a wee bit over Da-Lite's last 100+ years! Others have remained the same, including the relationships that we have developed with you, our loyal customers and partners.
What's the big deal with Social Media you ask? We've certainly heard the feedback that our industry peers have gotten, such as "Great, now I am going to get a bunch of social network spam!", "Are you really going to be asking me to join Facebook!?!", and "I can't use Twitter when I am at work!".
Da-Lite's philosophy on Social Media is actually very simple. We want to be able to extend the personal relationships we have developed over the years with our customers and partners into the online societies that you have created. Just like we always have, Da-Lite wants to come to you; to answer your questions, to consult on your requirements, to provide education and the same level of support that we always have.
"How is Da-Lite coming to me though social networks?"
We have noted your social preferences. If you are a Twitter follower, we will reach out to you on Twitter. If you are a Facebook fan, we will extend our support to you on Facebook. The same is true for those that have joined other online societies, such as LinkedIn or Plaxo.
Da-Lite is accessible to you, where and when you prefer.
Da-Lite understands the philosophical barriers of social networks such as privacy, security and use while at work. We aren't going to encourage our customers to join Twitter, Facebook or any other social network. We will follow your lead, based on your social preferences. If you prefer to spend your time on social networks during the day, at night, or both, Da-Lite wants to be available to you.
Da-Lite will respect your privacy.
Just like we won't inundate our customers with email advertisements, we won't spam you with contacts through social networks, either. We will reach out to you only if we have something important to say. Likewise, if you hav
e something important to say, we would like it if you would reach out to us, too!
Where is Da-Lite active on Social Networks?
We are trying to be anywhere you are. This means that as our customer and partners' preferences evolve, so will we.
