Da-Lite InfoComm 2010 Wrap-Up

June 22nd, 2010

Da-Lite had another exciting year at InfoComm! In addition to the product awards we received (see previous post on these awards here), Da-Lite had other technology demonstrations happening in the Da-Lite booth, as well! Building upon what we've learned from previous shows, and what is now possible with Da-Lite's technology and ingenuity, we were determined to make everyone "Think Big, Think Da-Lite."

DSC00172.JPG1. Over the Da-Lite booth, we demonstrated an 8' high by 60' wide (yes, 60 feet!) seamless Series 300 Lace and Grommet screen. The screen was manufactured using Da-Lite's own JKP Affinity HD Progressive 0.9 fabric. Illuminating the screen were (5) Christie HD12K projectors, which were edge-blended for a seamless image. For more information on the Series 300 Screen, click here. Positioned front and center on the InfoComm show floor, this massive screen was a huge attention-getter for Da-Lite!

DSC00163.JPG2. Da-Lite's Holo Screen was also a huge draw. The Holo Screen is a holographic rear projection screen designed for use in point-of-sale and digital signage applications, such as retail stores, window displays, airports, banks and high-traffic areas. It's available in sizes up to 108" tall by 300" wide and, as was evident on the show floor, it works very well in brightly lit environments. Visitors to Da-Lite's booth were amazed not only by the brightness, but also by the transparency, which allows for viewers to see both the projected image and everything on the other side of the screen. For more information on the Holo screen, click here.

3. Da-Lite also had a variety of other new product announcements that should be mentioned...

Easy-Install-Manual.jpgThe Easy Install Manual Screen with CSR: We've come up with innovative new brackets that make installing this screen a breeze! Equipped with Controlled Screen Return, the Easy Install Manual with CSR provides smooth, quiet and consistent operation.

Arena-Electrol.jpgA variety of new electric screens... BIG electric screens! First, Da-Lite showed the Arena Electrol for large venue applications. Available in widths up to 39', the Arena Electrol comes with either Matte White or Perforated Matte White surfaces and enclosed in a case with fixed mounting brackets and a black finish.

studio-electrol.jpgSecond, Da-Lite showed the Studio Electrol for auditoriums, stages and multi-purpose rooms. Available in widths up to 32', the Studio Electrol comes in an extruded aluminum casing with a grey finish. The Studio Electrol is also available with a Matte White or Perforated Matte White surface.

LgAdvDlx.jpgThird, Da-Lite showed the Large Advantage Deluxe Electrol. Available as tensioned in widths up to 22' and non-tensioned in widths up to 24', the Large Advantage Deluxe Electrol comes in an extruded aluminum casing with a white powder coat finish. It's even suitable for plenum spaces!

MM8C-42FS.jpgDa-Lite also showed a plethora of new support products. For thin displays, Da-Lite showed the Advance MM8C-42FS Multi-Media Flat Panel Cart. Accommodating thin displays up to 50" diagonal, the cabinet portion features locking doors, rack rails and a power strip. The sides house slide out shelves for additional work surfaces. Da-Lite also showed the PM7UL-47JF Flat Panel Cart. Supporting thin displays up to 150 pounds, this cart features adjustable shelves and swivel casters.

PLC-38E.jpgFor projector applications, Da-Lite showed the Advance PLC-38E Projector and Laptop Cart. It features adjustable grey shelves, a black frame and durable carpet casters.

WV-VC-Closed.jpgFor videoconferencing applications, Da-Lite showed the Advance WB-VC Video Conference Wall Box. This recessed wall box is designed to house videoconference cameras and may be mounted in almost any studded / sheetrock wall. It features a lockable tempered glass door.

That's what was hot in the Da-Lite booth this year! For additional information on any of these products, simply click on the product links in each article to view more details on our web site.
